Don't know the name of the spider but it sure looks like a character in the Japanese Anime cartoon. Some resemblance to 'Carl' of 'Aqua Team Hunger Force'. Would be interested to hear what this spider resembles

.

D90 105mm F3.2 1/1600sec HH. Thanks for looking and C&C appreciated.

Wow! This is awesome, and you are so right about the anime, but I think it looks like an anime acrobat character on a vertical rope.

This would look great in 3D, Gary. Send some round to my garden.

Reminds me of Groucho Marx's moustache.

Nice detail and pattern on the abdomen, Gary. What ISO setting did you have for this? The BG looks a little noisy, so I assume something fairly high?

Balan & Sam
ISO 800. There was a breeze and the spider was wobbling non stop so had to use a fast SS.

Gary,

Beautiful shot!! The background color being a rich gray-blue really compliments the lovely yellow color of the spider. Excellent detail in his abdomen--love the "see-through" quality, too. Well Done!
