WC 496 - Blizzard

This was taken a week after my last post, in the second of 2 consecutive Tuesday blizzards. This storm was as much snow as wind, unlike the week before, so I stayed in town. Two years earlier, I had shot this location in a March blizzard, and finally had the chance to repeat the experience :). I posted a similar shot in February right after the experience, but this was taken from a slightly different perspective. 7D, ISO 100, f/11, 1/80, slight crop

Brrr. I can feel the wind and the slap of snow on my face. The tree trunks add to the starkness.

Love it - from inside!
The horizontal snow really makes this stand out - with the soft feel of the trees and grasses.
Beautiful!

Hi Rob, Excellent job capturing the feel of this blizzard. I like this shot alot. Looks just like a place I have near here that I also photographed during winter storms this past winter. Nice work!

This is terrific! I like the shapes and colors in the trees and grasses and you've really captures the sense of heavy snow driven by strong wind = blizzard.

You have done a nice job of capturing the snowfall. You can almost feel the blizzard in progress.

Very nice, Rob! This is wonderful! I love the dynamic quality of the image caused by the blowing snow... but even more than that, I love the incredible depth that is a result of reduced contrast in the distance. I think some photographers might have been tempted to increase the contrast of the image, and I'm so glad you didn't! This is superb!
