Snowy on the Beach

From last Sunday morning, shot while the bird was taking a break from browsing the tidal pools. I liked the simplicity of the image, the posture and the stance. I would not have been able to get the full reflection in the frame with the glass, so I compromised it for the "looking space" LHS. Decided to leave it full frame, but probably could crop from RHS to 4x5 format. Larger image included.

I too like your comp. choice Bill, the snowy stands out very well here and the foreground water and graduated OOF BG both help in showing off the bird. Nicely done with the whites and plumage detail!

Great image of an Egret.The sharpness is great and the whites are perfect. I also like the comp.

A nice simple composition, very effective, and I really like the pose with the raised foot. Nice job on the exposure too! :toast:

Bill, I don't miss the refection of the rest of the bird but do enjoy the foot reflection. Nice background color to show off the whites of the bird.
