I think the willet is an underrated bird. I love their clean, uncluttered look. You have captured it well here.

I really like this Doug. I often find that simplicity in the images composition is the best and this willet is a good example, IMHO. The willets detail and the OOF BG help to highlight the birds presentation, especially with the subtle plumage colors and feather patterns. Congratulations on a really fine "Keeper!"
