Canon 7D,400mm 5.6 lens,ISO500,f7.1, 1/1600sec.Hand-held with shoulder brace. Taken in sunlight. I'm seeing only Blue Dashers & Twelve-spotted Skimmers this year in Toronto. Hoping some others show up in September.

Excellent flight shot. Can't help but think that this looks like the same DF as Barbara's except shot from the other opposite side :biggrin: Great sharpness in the face. The 7D looks like the right camera for action shots. :toast:

This is a shot I dream of taking, except in my mind's eye it's usually a grass stalk or leaf instead of a twig. Lovely sharp face. I'm very impressed.

This is not easy to pull off --- nice detail on the head/eyes. I just tried catching some flight shots with little success. :smile:
