I have been photographing Cedar Canyon for about now and I am starting to look for new and different things and ways to shot. That is why I have started doing grasses. They are going to seed and many of them have some very interesting seed heads and the other vegetation is also starting to turn so you can get some reasonably nice backgrounds. It is always a challenge to get good crisp images of grasses and flowers because there is rarely a time when there is not some kind of breeze blowing. You wait for the breeze to let up some and then shot a burst of images hoping one is in focus. Comments and critiques are always welcome and appreciated.

I love these simple images of natures structures. Nice warm supporting BG and light area of the BG right where you wanted it. The challenge of outdoor photography of light and airy subjects like yours is so very tricky. This one worked very well.

Nice curves. Everything seems to flow well, including that creamy background.

Your grass heads are a real treat and I'm glad to hear you describe the exact method I use for shooting seedheads. The wind in Wyoming never lets up, either. This image is crisp, clean with beautiful light and excellent detail. Another very nice image

Gracious curve sweeping through the frame, Richard in some nice light  . I would not mind a bit more space on the right - but no biggie at all.

Strong comp Richard, sweet light and a fine supporting bg. Hard to beat that. Very fine nature photography.

Richard: Good catch and a fine result. I often use the burst technique and then thank God for digital and unlimited capture. Most excellent. >=))>
