Pure

Another from our last day in Florida. I wish I had more time to concentrate on this as I have thought a magnolia bud was like a pure birth. The wind had picked up so it was a kinda grab shot.
D80, Tripod, F8, and I forget the rest.
Thanks for looking and all C&C welcome
Bob

Bob:
A great looking magnolia bud. The ones near me tend to soil with blemish easily. The white exposure looks good and there is nice bg separation. The wind seems to have cause some motion blur.

I love the lines of the leaves and the white against the dark and the richness in color of the underside of the leaves.

I really enjoy Magnolia flowers and this shot captures the beauty of the buds very well. I like the high contrast between the bud and the leaves but find myself looking for a bit more detail in the bud. Maybe that's the motion or maybe you can selectively increase the contrast slightly in the bud. Now I'll have to pay more attention to my Magnolia...but that's early next summer.

Nice rich color in the leaves. The bud is quite striking against them. Nice

I really like the tones here Robert and excellent job of handling the whites. Was is possible to take out the bg glare with a CP? Regardless....very nice shot. :toast:

I like the colors and the flower stands out from the background very well. There is just a touch of motion blur in the image.

Hi Robert :wavey: An alluring capture of a magnolia bud :jump: When rushed, outdoor shots can be difficult to get sharp

A strong comp Bob. I like the darkness in the browns and greens and the whites are perfect. Outstanding photography.
