Eruption

Gallery: FloraPosted August 15, 2011102 views15 comments
Nikon D300, 50mm F/1.8 + 36mm ET. F/14, 1/3sec, ISO 200, tripod, cable release.

This reminds me of a volcano erupting, shooting the white molten lava and red fireballs in the air! Too imaginative? For me never enough! Comments appreciated.

Reminds me of Ice Kachang more than the fearsome molten lava and all that. A very imaginative shot, Albert.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Albert ! For me this is up there with the finest abstracts I have seen on Flora, with its touches of texture and light bringing added definition to a very fine composition.

You've got a great imagination, and put it to good creative use. While I like this shot, its not, IMO, your best. Maybe a little more detail, or texture, or contrast would make it stand out as your others do. Not sure. Light and color are good though.

Albert:
Your abstracts are getting better post by post. :jump: Like this a lot. Great imagination too... don't let Ram pour cold water on your hot imagination. He has been living too long in hot S'pore and needs the ice kachang to cold down.

I like the image and the imagery. I think everyone can see something different in these images. It's why I am a big fan of close-up abstracts. Keep 'em coming. :jump:

Albert: I like your vision although this shot doesn't resonate with me as much as some of your recent work. Not sure why except my eye keeps going to the bright edge and stays there. Perhaps softening that would suit me a little better. >=))>

Great abstract Albert. I like the flowing lines are warm colors. They all work well together!

It a very attractive abstract with beautifully flowing colors. I do like the sharp spots of deep red but am conflicted about the mix of sharp and soft. I also find the brightly lit section just above center to be very attractive and wonder about using that to lead into a different composition. I'll have to keep looking at this.

Could be lava. I like the sweeping lines, esp the one that's highlit. That one is hot, gushing lava for sure.

Hope you didn't burn yourself in the capture. Well done. I can see the inferno and feel the heat.
