Tree Frog Static Pose

Yesterday morning I ran into David Chauvin while out at Jean Lafitte NP. We didn't find much to shoot, mostly talked about our travels and such. David and I agree that most of the tree frog poses are rather static, they lie on their perch and aren't very interesting, like this one. But thought I'd post one of these, shot yesterday out on the visitor center trail. Not a show stopper because of the pose but quite sharp and in decent light. Full frame, larger image included.

I'm a fan of frogs, so I like this a lot. Would have been a great entry for the recent "green" WC !
Really fine detail and perspective, and nice BG.

Bill:
Like this a lot - nice texture of the skin and bg. An almost completely green image.

I also like frogs and I think this is a great photo even if he is "static". Like your comp and his pose. Good lighting and I agree it is quite sharp; also a wonderful blurred BG.

"Comp, colors and background make this a pleasure to see, static or not." Static is what frogs do most of the time, so nothing wrong with the pose. Besides, when they are not "static" they are just blurs. I agree, nice light, and great details.

Hey Bill,,,,,,it was nice to see you at JL again and I didn't even get wet this time.

The color and clarity of this image is beautiful. The nicely balanced comp gives this a relaxed feel.
