great shot, quality and may be even "smelly" ......just don't understand why you didn't clone away the object on the left in BG....

Hello Verdon,
Thanks for your comment.
I think it´s because many photographers and organizations in Sweden and also other European contries have a rule that we dont clone on nature photos without telling. And if we clone it is not ar true nature photo any more.

Certainly raises an interesting attitude about cloning ! Which no doubt will rumble on untill the end of time ! Simple answer ban it or don't ban it.
Looks ok to me anyway.

Lennert, the "rule" is the same on NPN : Cloning is fine if we wish to, as long as we reveal what we did.
I agree that the post and other object on the left serves no purpose and could be cloned out so the eye is not drawn away from the bird - the focus of the image.

Nice low angle and a image you do not see everyday!

Thank you for your comments!
Of course I agree that the picture is better without the pine tree. It is just a habit that I usually don´t manipulate my photos.
Sandy, I also think that cloning is ok as long as you reveal what you have done.
Here is a version where the pine tree is cloned away.
