Snowy on the Beach

We went down to Torrey Pines to capture some images of Peregrine Falcons. Very little PF activity and overcast. We had fun shooting some Snowys which were on the ocean side of where we were shooting. I have some while it was overcast but I like this one taken when the sun was behind a thin cloud so I would not blow out the whites. These are my first images at the beach. I have got to go more often.

C&Cs appreciated.

I just looked at the image I posted and the whites on the back look blown out. My image during process showed detail. I will reprocess and try a repost.

I tried to reprocess the image and I could not get any detail in the back area. Lightroom shows that the whites are not blown. I guess I just did not capture the details. Oh well.

William, the Snowys were catching sand crabs which would be exposed when the waves receded.

Make sure that the image you upload is sRGB. If the image profile is in AdobeRGB or ProPhotoRGB, it may not look the same on the web as it does in you editing software.
