After the fire

Just weeks after the fires that have been ravaging the Everglades, the rainy season has finally started and everything is coming back to life as this vine climbing up a burned Sabal Palm trunk shows. The palm itself may have a burned trunk on the outside but it's green on top and doing fine. Just natures way of keeping things in control.

You nailed it Don! While this doesn't shout "palm" to me, that may be a plus for the utility of the photo. It can be used in diverse environments to illustrate the renewing effects of fires. The light is a little harsh, but somehow that's a plus for me, perhaps adding an element of harshness to the new vegetation even as it reveals more detail in the blackened trunk. :toast:
