sweet light on the bird, Verdon, and it looks very sharp at this size. I like your comp too.

I like this very much. The warm lighting on the underside of the hawk is great, and I love the pose of the bird. Very interesting background as well. I kind of like the S-shaped curve of the water in the foreground.

beautiful light on the bird - sure would like to see a large version!
The darker areas detract a bit for me, but they could easily be brightened up if you wished.

Love the landing pose, or is it a hover? Got a good view of the eye, claws, and fanned tail. The comp is real, but I agree that lightening the fg would really set this off.

Verdon, this is terrific and I wouldn't change a thing! The dark FG's contrast with the spot lighting on the hawk is what makes this so dramatic!! Please DON'T lighten it! My only nit is a want a larger version to see

Thank you very much for your comments and suggestions, I am not planing to brighten up the shot because for me is the only one thing interesting in the frame when hawk is flying thru the last rays of sun...... The larger version and exif you can see at: www.verdonrocks.com
Thank you very much dear friends!!!

Love the light on this Verdon. The detail is excellent, I think you could crop a little closer and still have a great shot.

Details look great from what I can see at this size Verdon, and like that pose a lot.
Neat how the light kind of spotlights the bird here, I like it
