Orchid - Black & White

Gallery: Photo ArtPosted October 30, 20041,471 views3 comments

With all the change in weather and life (a new baby), we have enjoyed doing some indoor close up work with orchids. I decided to post in the photo art gallery because of the black and white color and techniques we used to highlight the edges. As always, I appreciate any comments or critiques. Thanks for taking a look.

Hi Dehra

Very nice shot, I like the idea of the front and side view. Stands out very nice against the black BG.

Nice DOF and composition. I like whatever it is you have done to the edges. It stands out nicely against the black BG. I enjoy seeing flowers done in B&W. It takes more creativity to pull it off well, and you have done that here.

Dane,

Very cool shot. I like the rim lighting on the petals and the cropping really adds to the composition.

Congrats on the Editor's pick.
