Grass

I am always trying to shot something different at Cedar Canyon. Some of the grasses are going to seed, I believe this is Hairy Grama. The light was nice and the browns blended well. I cloned out a couple of out of focus seed heads in the background that were very distracting. Very slight crop from top and right. Thanks for your comments and suggestions, they are always welcome.

I, too, love the unusual in grasses and other, and this is new to me. It reminds me of the prayer flags seen in so many of the Bhudist areas of Asia. You found and well recorded a really nice color blend here.

Terrific! The staircase composition is great and I love how the background color blends so well with the grass heads.

I like the flow and comp of this picture. Very interesting grass; I have never seen that kind. Good detail and I like how the color goes so well with the BG. I see a few darker spots in the BG that could be easily cloned out.

They remind me of prayer flags also! I love the fragile look of these grasses, the detail is wonderful and the complimentary background is great!

Staircase effect is what came to my mind also, Richard. Very well captured - I have tried capturing Grass before but wind has never let me make a sharp enough photo anytime.

A fine diagonal comp Richard, interesting textures and sweet light. A very fine image for my tastes.

'Something different' but very well seen and captured. Love the 'staircase' comp and you nailed the focus and dof. I do see a few dust spots and maybe some noise, but easily fixed in PP. Nice work! :toast:

Excellent composition with the diagonal formed by the seed heads. I like the brown and gold, too. Best of all though is the nice sharp seed heads standing at attention.

There's nothing like a good closeup view of the tiny world. The intricate textures really make this fly high, Richard. Nice colors, too.
