Fledgling Forster's Tern
by Keith Bauer
Here's another shot of the young Forster's tern that I've shared in the past couple of weeks. This time the youngster was sitting on this rusted fence (rusted from the ocean salt water), calling for Mom to bring in more food. This is almost full frame. I cropped just a bit off the top for a more pleasing composition.

Bolsa Chica, at the tide gate. The fence is the one on the north side of the dam.
I love the old rusty fence, a great perch for the young tern imho. I like the open bill, the nice light, background colors, the clarity of the eye and the pose.
Great BG and I like that rusty fence perch a lot..
Well done!
