Very colorful image Verdon. The bird looks good IMO and you certainly caught him in a colorful setting. Nice exposure and I really like the pose. I might consider dealing with the clump of three bright highlights at LL.

Such a beautiful bird and to have captured it in this setting and with such outstanding colors is exceptional. I wonder at the catchlight, it somehow seems not natural.

I really find myself enjoying the BG colors and the contrast it creates with your subject on this one Verdon. I do wish a larger image was posted...makes the critique much easier...hard to tell what detail you have in the whites and brighter yellows at this size, but bird looks sharp and colors look nice.

very nice, Verdon. at this size it doesn't show the crop. nice colors and pose. the exposure looks excellent, although a little shadow/highlight (not much) might bring out a little more detail. dof worked out well for this pose.

Verdon,
Always nice to see an Evening Grosbeak posted here. I like the pose, the colorful background and the watery bottom part of the image. The file size on the server is only 75 KB, which means this was over compressed and more detail would be evident if this were closer to the 300 KB limit for the small versions. Posting a larger version would help for us to see more of the detail and would benefit you because we'd be able to give more accurate evaluations of your images. Was flash used here? It looks a touch flashed to me. Lovely pose, look at the eye and the exposure look very nicely handled.

Cool looking bird and nice colors. Is that a wet rock he is standung on or some water? I would also like to see a larger version.

Thank you dear friends for your comments, I didn't use the flash light for this shot, that bright spot must be from the sun. This is a water over the rock , Thank you again for your interest.

Wonderful display of colors and a good look and pose from the grosbeak. This is an interesting angle with the water falling off and that colorful background, way to go.
