I don't know it's just me and my Mac but your shots (they are very good quality!!!) seem to be to dull on colors and with no contrast .... great moment!!! :wavey:

You sure convey a great mood here, Neal.
It reminds me of autumn mornings in Sweden with some fog rising from a forest lake - Calm, silent and solemn
A long swim for the hippos though

There seems to be some color noise on the back of the largest hippo, which is surprising considering the low iso value. Did you brighten the image (a lot) in processing?

I like the mood and the reflections too Neal. The pano presentation works well here too. What works less for me though is the composition with the positions of the individuals, a bit too chaotic.

Great concept Neal. I think that a darker background would help the presentation (referring to the preset bcgrd color of NPN). I would also suggest tweaking the contrast a pinch. Beautiful image worthy of a large print with a little bit of photoshop final adjustment imho.

Interesting mood in this, I agree on a slight boost in contrast.

I happen to like the high key effect this presents and I think it enhances the moodiness, but I certainly understand where the others have suggested a bit different processing for added contrast. Some of these kinds of things are subjective and it is helpful to see how others might see something differently. Good image.

I like this one very much Neal, really has the feel of early morning and the Hippos just beginning to stir. Good choice for pano too :^)
