Great wing position, Luke. Focus and exposure look excellent. In this case I wish you could have gotten a bit higher to minimize the oof mud in the foreground-but that's tough to do in a kayak

Luke, Interesting pose with good exposure on the sandpiper. The foreground isn't ideal IMO but not much you could have done about it.

Luke, your very shallow DOF here is very effective. The wingspread on the sandpiper makes for a really nice pose.

I really like the pose Luke, especially the raised wings and the eye contact. Nice work for being on a kayak.

Really nice wing stretch from this guy, nice shot. You've got more guts than me in my kayak! I'm always paranoid I'm going to dunk my camera, so tend to head for shore (or stow the camera) if there's the slightest bit of wind!!

Yep, they left here a couple of weeks ago. Good to know you've got them. Depressing - half our breeders are gone already - but good to know. Out of breeding plumage too, I see. The blurry foreground is a bit distracting but the wing stretch is nice and perfectly exposed.
