Very pretty Charlie, I think the butterfly and flower are strong enough on their own and the stalk on the right competes a bit, so I would consider cropping/cloning that out. Nicely done. :toast:

Nate, This shot I felt was really a subject in tastes. I cropped it without the seed stalk and liked it that way too. Somehow I felt that this way was much like I saw the scene and went with it that way. I think it may be good to explain my thinking on an image and even give a bit of an explanation of why it is posted as it is. I, at first, had the feeling that people would know that other crops, or saturation level, or whatever varies by viewer. I know this and don't mind opinions of how the responder would have handled the image. I can only hope that I learn something and hope that if I really want it the way posted it is not felt by the critiquer as rejection just a differing opinion.

This butterfly an instant later took off because the bee had just landed on the flower. Somehow the scene with the stalk felt as it had been. We are both right as far as I'm concerned

Although it would make a square presentation, I would make a crop from the top to remove the oof dark tendril and retain the seed head on the right side. Nice work, Charlie.

The above (1st posted shot) was time stamped "07/22/2011 13:19:49" and the following shot "07/22/2011 13:19:50. Nothing Earth shattering about this, I just like this digital age in so many ways.
