Gentle Light

Yesterday I found this simple forest scene going for a ramble with my daughter in Kamp Valley, Lower Austria. After some hours of rain first sun rays appeared again.

Light conditions were changing within a minute. I had to put up the tripod and take the shot without hesitating.

It is the kind of scene that is so inviting for a stroll. Thanks for posting, Peter.

A very nice composition, Peter! The almost square frame works particularly well.

A very relaxing composition. The detail in the larger version is great.

Beautiful light, textures and details in this forest scene, Peter. Great eye to spot this beauty. This is just a suggestion; and it may not have been possible; but did you happen to take any comps just slightly to the left? This is lovely as is, but I think it would be even stronger if the two trees on the left side did not merge.

Ground shots can be surprisingly intriguing. My only thought might be to try an neutralize the flare in the upper left a bit.

Peter, I really enjoy this! The square framing looks great here too. A very inviting scene making me wish I was there wandering around. The detail in this looks fantastic!

Very nice light and strong colors. The comp works nice as well except that the position of the glare/flare so close to the border is a bit of a balance-breaker. Other than that - a pleasure to look at.

Love the soft gentle light. It really does look like a great place for a ramble. It's great being able to see all of the details.

Beautiful lighting and stunning color, Peter. It looked like there was flare from the thumbnail, which is now more obvious. I agree that it would be helpful to minimize or eliminate it, if possible. Otherwise, a very lovely scene.
