Of Ice and Men

Two men draggin their sleds across the Kahiltna glacier below Mt Foraker.

You might have to look hard at the larger version to spot them

I was hoping to get a frame with some climbers to add a sense of scale to the mountains they are up against. This one did not quite work out, but am still pretty happy with it.

Beautiful image - and the men sure give a sense of perspective and grandeur.
Love the mountains, mist, and low clouds.
The darker area at the LL bothers me a little, so perhaps you'd consider lightening it up a bit.
Really nice!

This is great, you should be happy with it. I love those cloud formations and how they're stacked up against the ridges.

Wow! What a magical world of ice on display here. The atmosphere is what really makes it.

Talk about a sense of scale! Wow! It is hard to see them, even on the larger view. Terrific atmosphere created by the clouds and sidelighting. I might have tried stitching a couple of verticals together to show the people larger, while still including the huge mountain as well in the finished image - difficult or imposible to accomplish with a single shot at this distance. I appreciated that the shadows are more neutral than blue, more realistic in my view. :toast:

From the thumbnail, I thought there was something volcanic going on. This is a super-cool presentation of the location.

This is a wonderful shot Anand. Fantastic conditions and the 2 people in there really does put this in scale. Shadows look perfect to me too. What a view!
