Well, it's either me or one of the New York Giants older offensive linemen out doing photos during the lockout. ;) Anyway, a great photo buddy of mine who helps with driving and making sure I don't get stranded in the woods somewhere snapped this, so it's kind of posed, kind of not.
I've only been shooting about four years, my dad goes back some 40 years, but did it while having a full-time job and raising a family of five. While we don't sit and talk photography too much (he's still way over my head), I do get some good tips, if I can keep him brief. lol. So I grew up in a house FULL of photo stuff, but it never really caught my attention.
Then after being an advertising copywriter for 20+ years, I got a "bit" sick in 2007, moved to the country and just started riding mostly, walking some--and taking photos. My first juried exhibit entered, I ended up with a piece in the PA State Museum of Art. Had the bug ever since.
I do most of my work here in Northeastern PA, and shoot just about all subjects still (except people, there is not one photo on my website with any--why, i'm not sure). My travel is limited by a couple of things... so I think so far I've just tried to open people's eyes, that ours is much more than just a rundown old coal mining region.
Hopefully, it works... which I have A LOT more to do. Thanks to all the tremendous help I get thru NPN!!
