Wonderful details. Nice job getting 4 images to stack. I think the colors of the flower and background add a lot to this image.

Looks nice John, just a tiny weeny bit dark. I reckon a slight tweak in curve/levels will really make it pop. Btw, have one just like it  :toast:

Wonderful close-up of a skipper, John. I like the face on approach of this shot. He has an interesting face to look at; he looks like he has eye lashes. Love the detail in the antenna and the hairy look has has. I'm puzzled how so many persons are taking stack images of insects. How do you get them to stay still for all of this stacking? Maybe it depends what time of day you photograph them. Anyway, great shot! Think I like the repost better.

Carolyn

Some insects are quite easy in the early morning before they reach "flying " temperature,or evening as they go to roost. The biggest problem is wind. The subject and what it is sat on need to be still. There are still a lot of waste sequences though. Some do dead insects but I don't.

Outstanding detail! The contrast of color between the flower and Skipper really makes things pop. Really well done.

Outstanding detail and comp, John. I had no idea these things had eyelashes! The reworked post is an improvement. Well done. :toast:
