Nice color contrasts and a perfect element to create a more dynamic image. Sky on left feels a bit blank, but not much could be done about that.

The light washing the rocks and vegetation is superb. The sky is—eehh.

Bill, the light and subjects are appealing here but I really do miss something in that big, bright opening at upper left. Keep working this one for a better sky.

Agree with everyone else. Maybe a square crop of the right?

OK Bill I am in the minority. I actually like the sky as is. I think it is a beautiful shade of blue and its looks so clean - noise and haze free. I think it also helps balance the intensity of the reds. Excellent work!

That's the colour of an Aussie outback sunrise, nicely captured. The scraggly shrubs along the top of the boulders are a little messy but that's also very much a part of arid Australia. The devils marbles further south are cleaner in that way.

The warm morning light on the rocks is really nice and I like your composition as well. Nicely done.

Beautiful warm light in this image, Bill. I love the distinctly Australian gum tree with that characteristic bend in it. I like your comp as well, but I agree it's a shame the sky is rather featureless. However, the blue does complement with the red very well to highlight it's saturation. Would love to see more outback shots of yours. I'm looking forward to getting out there one day myself, so these shots are a great inspiration.

The early morning sunlight is wonderful Bill and I like the character of the tree, totally agree with the comment about a square crop though.

Gary.

A very unique image with that tree and boulders, Bill, and the light is lovely. Maybe you can PS that section of the sky a bit for printing.
