Dragon Mouth Orchid
by Bob Duff
It's been blooming time for orchids in Nova Scotia. This one is from the bogs of Brier Island. The Nature Conservancy now maintains a couple of bogs and a dune area on the island. These Dragon Mouth Orchids bloom in profusion in the bog and bloom at the same time as the Northern Pitcher Plant.
Taken in harsh light ( not a cloud in the sky from horizon to horizon) under a diffuser.

Beautiful portrait and sweet bg. The diffuser seems to work nicely to tame the light.
