Love on a Rock

This Razorbill pair went through quite a courtship before mating. Here the male is really showing off his stuff and the female seems not to care. The male was persistent, however, as 30 minutes later they mated.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

OOOOOH....Love on the Rock....Ain't no big surprise...just tell me your dreeeeeeams...and I'll tell you some lies....

Whew, excuse me...got me a little nostagic for a second there. Knew I'd been out in the sun too long today.

Beautiful photo Carol. The poses from the 2 birds are just terrific, and you did a really wonderful job with the techs, especially exposure.

Male showing off...female not caring much...my life story. Sigh.

Wonderful image. Great handling of the blacks with lots of detail there. Love the poses and the comp. Great story. Hope to see the mating later. (Does that make me sound like a perv?)

There's a simple elegance to this that makes it a very nice image to view.

A really cool bird that I have yet to photograph, even though they are in my neck of the woods in the winter. Nice exposure, a cool perch and good look at the eyes. Where was this photographed?
