Although I'm familiar with the landscape/ESS gallery, this is my first post to the macro gallery. I've always packed a macro lens in my bag to tide me over between sunrise/sunset, but have been shooting more and more with it lately. On a recent trip to Yosemite, the skies were clear and boring, so I opted to stay in the partially shaded meadows of corn lilies and play with my macro lens instead. I usually gravitate toward more abstract macro shots, but wanted to try to catch some of the insects that were flying around the lilies as they seemed to be fairly cooperative. Any comments, suggestions or brutally honest critiques welcome as I work on honing my macro work. Thank you in advance and I hope to be more active in this gallery in the future
