Verdon ..fantastic image of an amazing bird. The head turn and detail are perfect, and the two tone BG is very complimenting ...well composed and well done ..

Lovely light, Verdon and very well exposed. I like the low angle and the frayed beak decoration fits the image.

Nice low angle shot. It would be more intimate if the bird was not facing away.

A nice shot of a post-breeding plumage American White Pelican. The low angle really helps the shot, but a turn a bit closer to the camera would improve it.

American White Pelican
"Pelecanus erythrorhynchos"
Vertical bill plate distinguishes breeders from non breeders. Structure of bill plate variable; apparently plays a role in both courtship display and ritualized combat. Thank you for your comments and suggestions

Great low angle. The image has an immediate warmth and draw to it. But, I think it may be a bit over saturated based on my experience with these birds.

Love the low angle shot on this one! I too think its a tad over saturated based on the ones we have here.
