This photo was taken last week in Yoho NP. I spent three days exploring the area and waiting for the light. Came back with a couple of keepers. I hope you like this one.

Thank you for having a look and leaving a comment.

D5 II, 16-35mm at 20mm, three raw files hand blended.

A wonderful dreamscape here! :toast:

I'm not sure what it is but it seems it could use just a little more pop. Maybe also a slight boost in the sky red saturation?

Great image though. :toast:

Nice job on the blend Wieslaw. It looks like a beautiful spot, I like the shimmer of light on the ice too.

I'm with Mark on this. There are a lot of nice elements and textures and curves, but the light feels a bit drab. I know it's a personal decision, but there's a lot of good material to work with for more processing.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. Here is a new version after some adjustments to the foreground and the sky.

Very nice Wieslaw, and the repost is a definite improvement.

I definitely prefer the repost Wieslaw. The sky colors really pop in the repost. Looks like the meltout is still a ways off here.

Wieslaw, the image composition looks great, the scenery is great -
but the image looks as if some light is missing.

That was my first overall impression. Than I looked closer to your second version below. I think the sky is now well exposed, also the forground seems right. I guess the missing light is in the trees and the mountains making the whole image look a bit underexposed. Maybe its just a matter of half a f stop or so. Probably the light was on the brink of doing something really dramatic but some cloud in the distance was too thick to let the show start. We all know this - it starts looking phantstic and very promising and than the light just fades away without coming back.

I would love to see what happens to the image once you increased the brightness of the trees and mountains just a bit to increase detail and glow there.

All the best,
Christian.

A beautiful image, Wieslaw. The repost version is spot on... the extra processing has really brought it to life. The color combination of red and green is now very powerful and dynamic, and the overall color separation is much better.
