I spent th eafternoon yesterday with a family of Burrowing Owls and enjoyed every minute watching their antics and social life.
This is a photo of all the young ones lined up on the nest waiting for their next meal.

Exceptional!
While burrowing owls normally lay 8-9 eggs, I've never seen more than 3 chicks in a nest - this is wonderful I especially love the little guy on the right!.
Plus..great light and BG.
Fairly soft - likely a large crop - but still just GREAT.

Wow, I don't know what else to say!! It's as if all the birds have different personalities and are showing it in their expressions--kind of like an outlaw gang from the 1800s to me!! lol, well... that's just me!

Perfect Richard.

Thanks all for the kind comments. This was truely, one of those moments that are rare, and magic!
There are actually 8 owls in the photo, one is in the background between #3 & 4, and another one directly behind the bottom right owl. You can see the top of it's head directly behind the front owl, and it's body in the lower right side.
