Cinnebar moth larvae on ragwort.
This is a two shot stack with the camera on a monopod.
Taken this evening. There is no doubt - the D7000 and the Sigmas 150 macro is a usefull set of kit.
ISO 400 125th sec f11
Two shots . Manually blended
Levels Paint Shop pro
Highlight /shadows in Filter Studio
The yellow backdrop is ladies bedstraw.

Nicely blended, It POPS
Agree re the D7000 and Sigma 150, I have one on loan from Sigma whilst they try and get the Sigma 180 to work with the D7000, Think i may chop it in for the 150

Excellent stacking. This really stands out against the dark yellow background. I really like the colors here. Nice work!

The yellow background works well here. I am amazed that the caterpillars kept still enough to enable you to refocus for stacking. Good job.

very nice colours John. If I was being very picky I'd say you probably needed one more frame to get the middle caterpillar fully sharp but still a nicely taken shot.

Really nice macro John, no nits at all from me. We could do with some of these up here as nothing eats our ragwort.
