Leaf skeleton (+ repost)

Some caterpillars were munching away on some leaves of a tree in our yard. They had completely stripped all the soft leaf material and just left the skeleton of several leaves and were busily working on a new one when I found them. I "terminated" the caterpillars and then went back to take pictures of their handiwork which I actually thought looked quite pretty with the sky in the background.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/11 for 1/60 sec. ISO 400.

Carolyn ...thats art work ...would this have been better if it was in a rectangular format with more of the sky .thats personal though ...is fantastic as is ...well done ..

Thanks, Balan, for your comments. I took many pictures of this and do have a rectangular format which I will post. Now that I look at it I think I like this one better. What do others think?

Great job of seeing. I like both shots, but the format of the second one creates a dynamic feeling.

OK Carolyn, you've now earned the nick name of "The Terminator" :biggrin:
I like the patterns/overall symmetry of the scavenged leaf, looks great against the sky in the diagonal..
This looks like a great candidate for some of the creative filter applications in PS..
