Photo of a small group of geese making a water landing, they seemed to be racing. Taken at Croton Point Park, NY a couple of winters ago. Nikon D300 with 300mm f2.8 lens and 1.4tc, ISO-400, f-5.6, Shutter-1/1600. Thanks, comments and critique welcomed. Ray

Nice job getting all 4 geese in focus and landing at that, amazing. Good detail on the larger image and the water splash adds a nice touch, way to go.

What a terrific shot Ray! Super impressed with the amount of detail you were able to capture in all four subjects, all the more so seeing that you were shooting at f/5.6. The lighting is marvelous and the fact that you caught all heads and eyes in the clear, with nothing overlapping, shows excellent timing, very nice work :^)

Normally I don't like images with the birds all overlapping like this but this one works pretty well imo. The lighting, detail and fact that all the heads are clear makes it for me.

I love this. Great turbulence in the water. I like all four birds eyes with light. If you have just a bit more room on top that would be nice. Great image.

I really like this, Ray. The rather scrambled look of the group is accentuated by the angle you got and it makes for a fun image. Even with that, you got three out of four catchlights-amazing.
