Spent a little time trying to photograph these butterflies in my yard this afternoon... I have some butterfly weed but they were preferring this purple flower - which was just as well because it's so hard not to blow the oranges on the butterfly weed.

I like the minimalist composition and the back lighting on the forewing. I specifically went to one location looking for these guys during our butterfly count last Saturday and couldn't find any...guess you had them all.
