Pink Iris

This is a small delicate iris taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens. I buy many perennials at the end of the season and then get surprised with the variety of their blooms. I like how it emerges from behind the leaves giving it a 3D effect.

Comments always welcomed.

The settings you chose to highlight this wonderful bloom put this over the top in my opinion Patricia. Wonderfully taken and displayed.

Beautiful iris and image Pat. Love your dof decision and presentation. The color is pretty nice too. (smile)

Beautiful Iris! I particularly like how the out of focus leaves provide a soft bg for the flower. Nicely done.

Perfect DOF. I like the way the stem recedes into the BG. Excellent all around.

Nice shot, great clarity of subject and a super backround. Makes the image seem to float.
