Mt Foraker

Taken from below a heavily corniced ridge. We were in treacherous terrain and had to keep moving. All i could manage was a quick one handed grab shot with the gloves on. To the eye there was a pink glow to the mountain top, unfortunately that didnt register on the sensor.

Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Anand,

This is one terrific mountain landscape - for a one-hander! Hard to get the sense of treachery from this vantage point, but it doesn't take too much imagination with your description. Love the cool tones and the light on the peak is wonderful. Excellent job considering the circumstances you were in. Can't really think of any nits or suggestions. Looks great.

Anand, you give me a great sense of this inhospitable scene, the blue tones work extremely well for me. Your composition is consistent and well balanced to my eye, I think the light on the summit is shown at its best.

The mountain is a nice focal point. Wondering if you'd pull down the brightness if the pink might come out?

Thanks guys, glad you liked it !
@lon, it wasnt difficult terrain, the big crevasses were behind us. The main concern was that things were falling from the top
@tony, Thanks for the tip. I tried lowering the exposure by 2 stops, still the pink doesnt seem to pop :frown:

Beautiful scene, Anand. Alaska is such a wonderful and mysterious location. The scale and majesty of the landscape is remarkable. How I would love to be there now!!

I'm not sure if "I" and "heavily corniced ridge" will ever be in the same place at the same time, so thanks for posting a little slice of the wild. I love the light on the mountain and the late blue light.
