Perfect pose, great light, perfect exposure and good eye contact!
Plus an interesting BG. All it needs is a fish in it's mouth! lol..

Nice Luke. I really like the BG in this shot. The sand and shell FG is great too. Nice exposure, detail, and bird position. Well done.

Excellent Luke! Full Frame is quite an accomplishment. The colored bands in the background are interesting without being distracting. Love the sandy pebble setting and, as mentioned, dof and exposure are perfect. :toast:

Lovely raised wing pose and exposure is spot-on. Also like the banded background colours and sandy beach. Nice catchlight too.

I agree with all of the comments to this point, Luke: beautiful shot. One thing I find peculiar is the proportions of the bird in this image: long neck, seemingly short legs and short tail. I'm not sure but it might be a combination of a perspective effect and feet buried in sand.....or maybe those are the true proportions of this bird? The bg fits the shot wonderfully well.
