Little Owl portrait

by Austin Thomas

Gallery: Regional: UKNPPosted June 18, 2011222 views17 comments
Here is another image from my current project on Little Owls.

My last image showed him on a telegraph pole around a farm, so I asked permission to enter the farm area to get closer and spend a greater amount of time with him around his barn.

This was the first image I got of him on the ground.

There is an image HERE that shows him doing an unusual walk for those that are interested.

More to come hopefully, now I am back from a few days on the Farnes.

Canon 1DMK4, 800mm, f7.1, 1/1250 ISO800.

Cheers

Austin

He looks as though he has been grovelling in the dirt a bit, but it is a cracking portrait.

Austin, It is kind of impossible to get them to look at camera. This is one of those rare moment that you have capture. It is same with the other one walking on the ground, that is a nice and unique moment as well. well done.
