I thought the ripples of water across this rock looked like a tartan plaid. I like the geometric blocking and the colors. Not sure if I got the highlights toned down enough. comments welcomed. Thanks for looking.

The greens yellows and white are close to Cape Breton's Tartan (BTW - Cape Breton is on of favorite vacation spot). Cape Breton Tartan Only suggestions are to crop out the bright area in the upper left and maybe the lower left orange patch. Great find Nancy.

Nancy,

You have quite a fabulous growing collection of these water gems. In fact this prompted me to check out your portfolio in hopes of finding a website. I think you have a great niche working with these and I've enjoyed all of them. This one here maybe is not your best of the lot, but still very fascinating with the patterns, color and abstractness that you find in these water images. The white up top is a slight distraction that Eva already mentioned. I don't really have crop suggestion though as I'm not sure I would like to eliminate any of the other parts. I guess though, a little crop from the top and then enough from the left to get rid of the white might work.

I really like these type images Nancy and they give me some motivation for looking for this kind of stuff out in the broad daylight when most folks will fold up shop.

Another very interesting one Nancy. I like the title you gave this too. It is fun to see what you come up with looking through the water. I kind of hate to see it cropped, but I do agree with the suggestions because of the bright spots on the left and upper left.

Nice set of plaids. It would be really great to fill the frame with the plaid, but mother nature seldom cooperates. The only badly blown highlight is in the upper left. That can be cropped without removing any of the best parts.
