Sky Light Point

A follow up to my most Recent Post from the seacoast NH. This was taken a while later from nearly the same position, though I tried to position myself to include less of the left side of the image as recommended in my previous post. I have considered cropping a little off the left to move the boulder a bit more out of the center, but still unsure about this. Any thoughts on this or otherwise greatly appreciated.

Great sky, nice reflections of color, and beautiful greens! I can't think of anything that would improve this. Great shot! :toast:

All-around fine shot. Love the comp. Where is this, Harry? I might try stopping there on my next trip to NH. :toast:

Hi Harry - this image has so much to like - the variations in the rocks, the bright greens, a great sky. I really like it overall. I do find that my eye gets caught on the boulder. A small crop of the right side would be my choice if it were my image.

The placement of the boulder and other aspects of the composition generally work fine for me. I like the shot and it looks good in all technical respects. It's pretty easy to prefer this over your other recent post; that was definitely a solid shot, but the visual appeal of the sky really elevates this version.

Harry, your composition and the colors work perfectly for me. I especially enjoy the fresh greens and the dynamics of the sky.

Harry,

The comp and colors are beautiful. And as big as that sky looks and could be, I like that you favored the landscape/shore a little bit more; it tells me a lot about what you wanted to capture. The rock you're questioning, doesn't bother me in the least. It's not really big enough IMO to worry too much about it. Great job all the way around with this one.
