This is truly beautiful. The soft light on the rolling hills is great, and the clouds are a great element. Beautiful sky color too.

Beautiful lighting and coloring in the clouds. A minor nit to me would be to crop off the white flowers in the foreground. It distracts from a beautiful wall hanger.

Yiming,

Wow, what a beautiful image; simply lovely. This reminds me sooo much of Northern California in the spring. The pastels in the sky are wonderful and the lone tree really makes for a great focal point. No nits or suggestions.

Without a doubt the best landscape photo I can recall seeing from this part of the world here. This is amazing on every level, top to bottom. Wonderful! :toast:

Woah very cool! What awesome texture, light and color. Incredible scene. And of course just the one tree. Of course. I really dig it as is but put my hand up to try a square crop with the tree kinda centered and think it might be even stronger. It looses the cool light on the knoll to the right but try it and see what ya think. Nice catch :)

What a neat comp. The shapes and light here make for a nicely graphic presentation.

Merle,

Thanks for the suggestion. I intentionally included those white flowers at the bottom to "anchor" the comp to the ground when I took the shot. Let me think it over.

aF, thanks for the suggestion. I tried the square crop and I also love the result. As a die-hard Rolleiflex fan, I just love the square format!

A crop off the top to eliminate the sky in the URC makes this absolutely beautiful image perfect in my book. Spectacular work!

Superb Yiming. The white strip at the bottom is a subtle, yet effective, anchor. I really like the soft lines in the hills, and the sky color is nice without overwhelming. The tree really makes the shot.

Thanks everyone.

Mitch: Sadly, the vast grassland in that area IS becoming a desert because of overgrazing. Don't know what it will look like a few decades from now.

Hi Yiming - This is such a beautiful image! The subtle lighting on the hills and the beautiful clouds are my favorite elements. I also like the white flowers at the bottom. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Gosh, what's not to like? Soft evening light gracing the hills, a strip of tiny white flowers edging the frame, and golden sunset light in the clouds . . . pretty exquisite combination. I'd love to see more from this location. I had plans to visit a few years ago but the trip fell through (something about the impending birth of my daughter).

Peaceful image. I like the last light on the hills, and mix of purples and yellows in the clouds. The sky in the upper right has a off tint to me though.

Phil: you definitely should go there. It's one of the most amazing places I've visited. Endless possibilities. I plan to go back again.

I love the subtle light falling on the hills and the curves running around...I am not sure about the bottom white flowers..The tree adds a lot to the frame...Do you know what the small protrusion next to the tree on the peak ? ..I guess I would crop it to maintain the smoothness..
Well done on this Yiming
