Forest mushroom

This was taken in the forests of northern PA on a vacation over Memorial Day weekend. It was quite small(about 1 inch). I loved the contrast of the orange with the green fern moss it was growing from. Don't know the ID.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/16 for 0.6 sec. ISO 200.

I really like the contrast, like you mentioned. Also the lighting is really nice. This little mushroom seems to be in it's own little world.

this is very nice. The light is wonderful and the ferns add just the right counterbalance in both color and texture.

Really like the colour and detail you have captured here Carolyn. The clean bg and composition works very well. Did you also try a lower pov, I think this might have been my initial preference, if possible. A very nice image.

Love it. The water drops add to the image.
