Lichen & Lighthouse

I thought someone had spilled paint when i first encountered rocks like these, but they are a common sight around the coastline of Tasmania. I was on my way to the waters edge for some shooting when I was momentarily distracted by this view. Though a handheld snapshot, at home on my computer I decided its probably a keeper.

A strong foreground and the lighthouse makes a good focal point. I see some haloing around the bush on the right otherwise nothing of significance to criticise.

interesting colors in the rocks, which work well with the lighthouse

A keeper indeed! It’s all good from the sky to the ground. I like how the lighthouse is framed by the brush. A pretty and solid comp

Thanks for the comments, I'm not sure about the haloing, I didn't do any blending on this one, it's a single exposure. Does haloing occur naturally with some cameras/lenses?

I’m just learning and I don’t know if haloing can come from the lens but I read about haloing in the context of over sharpening. Folks on this site seem to comment on haloing that I just can’t see, as in this photo.

The orange lichen is captivating Neale. I like the low perspective you have chosen.
