Around the pond in my garden it is sometimes buzzing with wildlife. This particular day a lot of Large Red Damselflies (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) were mating and laying eggs in and around the pond. I am always intrigued by the eyes of Damselflies, therefore I decided to go for a frontal macro shot.

I like the red of the damselfly against the green BG. Also the leaf in the foreground provides a nice leading line into the subject :wavey:

Ellen,
I really like the comp and the two brilliant eyes. Great colors too. :toast:

Ellen:
An unusual POV. Yes, the eyes certainly have it. I also like the wings spreading out in the bg.
