I found this lawn totally covered in Tulip Tree petals in early April 2010. It would have been a great background for someone to pose on.

Nikon D300 18-200mm zoom lens
42mm f18 1/250sec
ISO 500 +3.7EV
Multi pattern metering mode (whatever THAT is)
White Balance Flash 0,0

Very neat Shirley. The last tulip tree I saw in bloom had snow on it and there was no way it had this many leaves. This looks more like it came from a tulip tree forest. With regard to the image I might consider sharpening it a bit more and maybe bringing the contrast up a touch. Otherwise, I like it as posted.

I can see why you were drawn to this image, Shirley. I like the idea very much. If it's still possible, I might consider re-shooting this but from a lower point of view.

Here's some info on AMP. Probably more than you want to read

Cheers,

Carol

Nice concept, Shirley, filling the frame in this way. Apart from a little more sharpness, as Pat has said, this looks very appealing.
