From a few years ago this couple chose the tree just outside our window for a... a... well you know. I have had to build up my courage to post this, but it is a subject often portrayed here. This was a very noisy background and I had to use the max noise reduction so it is a bit soft. Also added some real estate to the bottom.

Olympus E-510, 14-54 mm
Through a window
hand held

Greatly appreciate your comments and critique. I am learning a lot.

THANKS!

Brace yourself, woman! The comp is good, along with the story. The noise reduction has hurt you somewhat. Selective NR, avoiding the squirrels, would have been better.

Nice capture Charlie, it looks like they spotted you too! You mentioned adding to the bottom and I think I see two triangular bark elements just to the left of the LRC that were cloned from just above.

Wonderful ... how should I put it, action in a behavioral shot Charlie, brings back pleasant memories ...... of a similar scene in a park I've witnessed myself ;^)

Definitely agree with Phil's suggestion of making a selection of the background only and working NR on that. You could then inverse the selection and apply a little sharpening to make the detail in the subjects, as well as the bark of the tree, stand out a bit more.

Lovely shot and thanks for sharing :^)

From the looks on their faces they do feel a bit caught
