Watching You + Repost

Another gator image from the low water shoot. Running the risk of boring you all, I'm sure.
I had their attention so stopped the shutter down for a longish tripod exposure.
This would be a good night shoot opportunity, but I'm not too crazy about walking through the long grass in the dark to get to these guys. The bank is very steep and about 4 or 5 feet from the water's surface right now. If things went wrong it could be like they say, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".

8 commentsAnother interesting shot and I think your decision to stop way down here was a good one (along with your good decision about not going there in the dark). This would be fascinating to see. When I first glanced at this image I thought the same thing as Vincent re: the image possibly being stronger (and more abstract) if that river bank wasn't included along the top edge. But I still like the image as posted...
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Nice color and contrast in this image. Wondering how this would show by cropping the bank out of the shot in more of a panoramic style image. Maybe will isolate and simplify the photo.
