"Salix Artica", a very small durable willow that spreads along the ground with runners like strawberries. They're so small they frequently only have room for one bud. I had to lay the camera on the ground to get this perspective. I thought of this shot right away when I saw the subject of the challenge.

Gary, this is a superb shot of a very interesting looking plant. Love the fuzzies all over the leaves and bud. Great comp and focus. Looks like a winner to me!

Beautiful light, POV and detail on an interesting plant. I'm wondering how tall the plant stands above ground.

David; I doubt you'll see this, but in case you do I apologize for not mentioning the size of this particular plant to give it some sense of scale. This willow with it's bud was no more than 3 inches tall.

Gorgeous! I love the second plant behind the first. The narrow depth of field means it's not distracting, but it gives us a bit of information a out the scene. There are more of these beautiful little flowers nearby.
