Glowing Tulip & repost WC485

When I stepped into my backyard as the sun was starting to go down, I was delighted to see how a ray of sun was shining through the bushes onto the tulip and causing it to look like it was glowing from within while the area surrounding it was almost dark. When I processed the photo, I further darkened the background so that the glowing tulip would stand out even more.

I really like the glowing colors of the bloom. The black BG is perfect. My old fashioned eyes want to see the flower centered in this image.

Love the look of this backlit tulip, Barb. It is really glowing! I like your comp but I would have liked to see just a little more of the stem so it doesn't look like it's floating in black space.

Thank you, Ed and Caroline, for your comments.

Caroline, the stem showed up much better in photoshop than it did here in the gallery. I was thinking the same thing, that it should be more visible, so I brightened the stem and am posting it again.

It definitely stands out against that black background! Nice shot, Barb. I like the second version with the more visible stem better.
